Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson is the daughter of British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby (born in Paris) as well as Chris Watson (born in Paris). When she moved to Oxfordshire when she was five, Emma enrolled at the Dragon School. From the age of six Emma was aware that she wanted to be an actress. For several years, she trained at the Oxford Branch of Stagecoach Theatre Arts a part-time theatre school in which she was taught singing dancing and acting. David Heyman informed Emma, Daniel Radcliffe, and Rupert Grint following auditions for 8 times. They were chosen to play the 3 leads Hermione Gringer Harry Potter Ron Weasley. Emma's first film on the screen was Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, released in 2001. It also was the film that was most popular in 2001. The opening weekday and weekend ticket sales were record-breaking. Reviewers praised the film, particularly the younger actors. The Daily Telegraph, an important British newspaper, called Emma's performance "amazing". Later Emma was nominated for five prizes for her work in the film winning the Young Artist Award for Leading Actress Young in the Feature Film.
